Vocational Training

Jermaine A. Carney is the son of Jewel Carney and has been working with his father and the business for over ten (10) years. He is a graduate of Eleanor McMain Secondary High School. He also has and undergraduate degree in Physical Education from Alabama A&M University and a Master’s in Criminal Justice from Southern University at New Orleans. He is a former physical educator and baseball coach in the New Orleans Public School System. Jermaine has been a licensed C.D.L and Forklift trainer for over six (6) years.

VOCATIONAL TRAINING

We offer CDL Class A and Class B Training. The Class A Training consists of 150 hours. Thirty (30) of these hours will be in class. The classroom portion is completed within one week. The behind the wheel portion can last up to one month depending on how the student adjust to the pre-trip inspection, backing skills and learning to drive the tractor/trailer. The Class B Training consists of 51 hours. Thirty (30) of these hours will be in class. The classroom portion is completed within one week. The behind the wheel portion can last up to 3 weeks depending on how the student adjust to the pre-trip inspection, backing skills and learning to drive the commercial vehicle.

Financing is available for those who qualify.

Also individuals interested in this training, must be able to pass a DOT Physical and have a clear driver’s license.
